Installing the G Data CloudSecurity plug-in is a very simple process! 
To get started click the download button to begin the file download.

 

 

A dialogue box opens and you can choose to open or to save the file. In this instance, please choose “open”.
A new window will pop up prompting you to select your preferred installation language.

After selecting your preferred installation language, click “Ok”. This will open the G Data CloudSecurity InstallShield Wizard.

Please read the terms and conditions and accept the terms in license agreement.



Afterwards, click “Next”.

 

Selecting your region ensures that G Data CloudSecurity contacts a security server near you. Protection is not affected if a different continent is selected, but there may be a minor impact on the server’s response time. 

 

You can now select whether the G Data CloudSecurity should be installed for anyone who uses the computer or for you only.
As the G Data CloudSecurity plug-in protects and helps every user – the installation option “anyone who uses this computer” is certainly recommended.

Please click the “install” button.

In case a Windows dialog-box appears, asking whether you really want to install this software, please select “Yes”.
Once the installation process has finished, a window notifies you that you have successfully completed the G Data CloudSecurity plug-in installation on your computer. When this appears please click “Finish”.



The plug-in is now available to provide reliable protection on your existing Firefox and/or Internet Explorer browser.

How does the G Data CloudSecurity plug-in work?

After the installation, you will see a G Data CloudSecurity button in your browser.



The existence of this button shows you that your browser is protected by the G Data CloudSecurity plug-in.
